Materials: Whiteboard, markers, eraser
1. Draw two 3×3 grids. Put people in one grid and the content you want to review (such as places) in the other. Using students’ English names makes it more engaging.
2. Secretly create the pairs, for example Amy → 7-Eleven, Ben → school, Cindy → supermarket.
3. Students guess using the full target pattern: “Is Amy at school?” Answer “Yes, she is.” or “No, she isn’t.” A wrong guess simply passes the turn.
4. When a pair is found, circle both items and award a point.
5. After all pairs are found, play “What’s Missing?” Erase one name and ask “Who is missing?” then “Where is Ben?” Students answer from memory. Erase pairs one by one until both grids disappear.
