Materials: 4 emotion cards, a table, and music; UNO cards can substitute
1. Place four face-down emotion cards around a table, such as happy, angry, scared and sleepy. Different-colored UNO cards can substitute.
2. Set the scoring, for example happy = 5 points and the other feelings = 1 point.
3. Invite four students up. Play or sing “If You’re Happy” while they walk around the table.
4. Stop the music. Each student stops in front of one card. The class asks, “How do you feel?” and each student answers, “I feel happy/angry/scared/sleepy.”
5. Award the points and play another round. Speed the song up or slow it down for variety.
